Reiki is made up of 2 Japanese words: Rei - Universal and Ki - Life Force Energy. It was discovered by a Bhuddist Sensei Dr Mikao Usui in the turn of the 20th century. It was thanks to Dr Usui that reiki has been passed down to practitioners across the World. Dr Usui was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teachings after many years of study, research and meditation. He spent the rest of his life practising and teaching Reiki. Today Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from Master to student.

Our approach
Reiki is channelled by the practitioner through his/her's hands into the client. Reiki Chia provides reiki therapy using an intuitive approach and channels this Life Force Energy through her hands. The hands are placed above the body, and the energy is channelled to the client's body going to where it is needed. This can be where there is physical pain, a blockage in your energy channels or where emotional pain lies
How does reiki work?
We are all made up of energy, just as reiki is an energy. The reiki can, therefore, be channelled into us. Our bodies are made up of energy meridians, which are like pathways for the reiki to flow through. In between the meridians we have chakras, which are energy centers and relate to our emotions. If there are any physical, emotional or spiritual blockages, reiki can help clear them. It nourishes our cells and organs, as well as our thoughts and feelings attached to our energy field.
